Quick Tips

Make iced tea by brewing your favorite tea using 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per cup plus 1 extra spoon. Steep your tea as usual. Cool slightly before putting it into the refrigerator.

Soothing, caffeine-free Rooibus tea is an extremely healthy drink.

Use fresh, cool water each time you heat it for your tea.

Use 1 tsp of tea leaves per 6 oz of water. Use our perfect cup of tea teaspoon, which measures 2 grams of tea, instead of a regular teaspoon which is not the correct measurement.

When infusing your tea, let the tea leaves float as freely as possible and remove them as soon as the time is up.

Tea stays fresher longer when kept in an airtight, lightproof container.

You can remove about 80% of the caffeine from tea leaves by infusing them in heated water for 30 seconds, remove the leaves, then infuse them again.

2 ounces of tea leaves yields 25 cups. 1 pound of tea leaves yields 200 cups.

How To Brew
A Perfect Cup

Brewing a delicious cup of tea is a simple and satisfying experience. Fill your tea kettle with fresh cool spring or filtered water. Heat the water according to the type of tea you want to brew (see below). While your water is heating, preheat your teapot and teacup by swishing them with hot tap water. Use 1 teaspoon of tea leaves per cup, then pour in your heated water. Never let your tea leaves sit in the water longer than needed. The result will be a bitter cup of tea! When you buy tea at Windsor Tea Shop, we will provide you with the necessary directions for a perfect cup!
